Your Soul called…again 📞
It’s still asking you to do the thing ⚡️
If the world’s felt a little loud or jagged lately, consider this little newsletter a soft landing. A quiet moment to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with yourself before stepping back into the swirl of things.
The newsletter’s late this week because I’ve found myself afflicted with a doozy of a head cold, which put me in a wicked state of brain fog, incessant sneezing, burning sinuses, throat, eyes…the list goes on.
For what it’s worth, I tried to write this edition multiple times this week. I get an “E” for effort at least!
I think the brain fog had a deeper impact in that my creativity battery seems to be low. I did manage to get a good cry in while connecting with my mom for a few pieces of guidance that I needed. Who doesn’t love a good cry every now and then?!?
When I look around my community, both IRL and online, there’s so much anxiety brewing…tangible fear even. We’re living in a full-blown clusterfuck, and it’s hard to dodge information at every turn. I’m very aware of the horrendous political and social climate, but the sheer gravity of information seems to be chipping at my Soul piece by piece.
I’ve found myself seeking refuge in my own little world, both outer and inner. Sheltering myself from anything outside of my little home and family - and my business. Working to keep the positive energy intact isn’t easy. But two wiggle-butt Boxers help add levity to any mood. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t feel lucky and loved, simply because of my sweetheart and these pup kids! It’s an elixir for the Soul.
As for my inner world…it’s a daily practice for sure. And some days I feel like I need the practice! 😆 Processing big feelings is quite the task! One that many “don’t have time for” or even insist is unimportant. I beg to differ. If I didn’t work on this on the regular, I’d be the hottest mess.
But this is the work…
Chipping away at the parts of ourselves that don’t serve our greater purpose, tending to our previously traumatized inner child, meeting our shadow self in the middle, and holding hands with our grief. Sometimes we do it well. Sometimes we do it half-assed. Sometimes we don’t do it at all. And it’s in the times of not doing it at all when I find myself slipping into the void, later viciously trying to claw my way back out.
I realize this is heavy.
I think I write about it so easily because it’s my purpose. We’re all grieving. And many of us aren’t tending to it or, bigger yet, acknowledging it. Herein lies my mission → acknowledging the shit out of it. Knowing is half the battle. Then we can focus on healing. Not to be magically healed or completely healed. This just doesn’t happen. We are works in progress. And healing is perpetual work. Relentless. Tenacious.
There’s a tangible difference, though, between doing nothing and putting in the heroic effort for your Soul! And I’m here for it! Our Souls are our BFFs; they deserve the hype and our dedicated attention.
If you find yourself feeling a push to explore what your Soul needs and/or learning to walk with any kind of grief, it’s my great honor to take that journey with you via The Phoenix Sessions.
The Phoenix Sessions are sacred one-on-one spaces created for those navigating grief, life transitions, and the emotional terrain that comes with being human. These sessions blend intuitive guidance, energy work, and compassionate conversation to help you process what you’re carrying while reconnecting with your inner resilience and wisdom.
Together, we work with what hurts, honor what’s been lost, and gently explore what healing looks like for you moving forward. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, these sessions are about transformation.
Why work with me?
I’ve walked with grief. It’s shaped me, shattered me, softened me, and made me more alive.
I’ve spoken with Spirits. Held hands with the dying and their mourners. Sat in circles with those searching for meaning after loss.
I believe grief is a portal - not just to pain, but to truth, connection, and a deeper version of who you are.
We’ll make room for your grief to breathe…and we’ll walk through the ashes until you find your wings again.
This week Spirit’s urging all of us to do one thing that we’ve been putting off with regard to our own Soul care, well-being, inner work…
Spirit insists that YOU know what that is.
So just settle in and do the thing.
Not tomorrow. Not when life calms down. Not when you feel perfectly ready.
Now.
Maybe it’s making the therapy or self-care appointment.
Maybe it’s finally journaling about the thing you’ve been avoiding.
Maybe it’s apologizing.
Maybe it’s setting a boundary.
Maybe it’s resting when you normally push through.
Maybe it’s simply sitting quietly with yourself for ten minutes and asking your Soul what it actually needs.
Spirit’s being very clear that you’re not overhauling your entire life or fixing everything overnight.
It’s one thing.
One honest step. One moment of courage where you stop avoiding what you already know would help you heal, grow, or breathe a little easier.
The most powerful shifts happen when we stop negotiating with ourselves and simply begin.
So take a breath. Listen inward. And do the thing. 💖
🤲 Reiki for the first step
Sometimes the hardest part of inner work isn’t knowing what to do…it’s starting.
So this week, instead of a full Reiki practice, we’re doing a 30-second ignition.
Think of it as striking the match to shed light on what you can’t yet see.
Place both hands on your thighs, palms down.
Sit up just a little taller.
Take one slow breath in through your nose.
As you exhale out your mouth, invite Reiki to flow from your crown, through your hands, and into your body.
Now think about the one thing Spirit nudged you toward above.
Don’t analyze it. Just picture yourself taking the first tiny step toward it.
Send Reiki to that moment.
Not the whole project. Not the whole emotional journey.
Just the first step.
Then say to yourself: “I just have to begin.”
That’s it.
Reiki isn’t about long meditations or perfect stillness (though it can be!).
Sometimes it’s simply the spark that helps you move your Soul one inch forward. 🔥
🃏 9 of Wands + Ace of Pentacles + Influencer (Queen) of Pentacles
✨ Deck: Tarot of Life ✨
This spread feels like the story of someone who’s been through it…kept going…kept showing up…even when they were tired as hell. And if that’s resonating with you right now, consider this a tap on the shoulder!
The 9 of Wands opens the reading with the energy of perseverance. This is the card of the wounded warrior…the one who’s fought a few battles, learned a few hard lessons, and is standing there a little bruised but still upright. It acknowledges the fatigue that can come from holding the line for a long time. You may feel guarded. Protective of your energy. Maybe even questioning whether you have another round in you. But the deeper message here is that your resilience has already carried you further than you realize. You’re stronger, wiser, and far more capable than the moment might make it seem.
Then enters the Ace of Pentacles, and this is where the energy shifts in a really hopeful direction. The Aces are seeds. Invitations. Fresh starts that arrive in the physical world. After the effort and endurance of the 9 of Wands, the Ace says something new is being placed in your hands. A new opportunity, a new path, a new idea, a new way of stabilizing your life or your resources. Pentacles deal with the tangible parts of life…work, health, home, money, and the way we build something lasting in the real world. This card suggests that the effort you’ve put in hasn’t been wasted. The soil you’ve been standing on is finally ready for a new seed.
And then we land with the Influencer (Queen) of Pentacles, which feels like the embodiment of where all of this is leading. The Queen of Pentacles is grounded, capable, nurturing, and deeply connected to the material world in a wise and balanced way. She’s someone who knows how to care for herself while also creating stability for others. There’s an energy here of stepping into a role where your lived experience, your perseverance, and the work you’ve done on yourself actually become part of what allows you to lead, support, or influence others in meaningful ways.
Together, these cards create a powerful progression:
🔥 You’ve been carrying a lot
🌱 A new opportunity is beginning to take root
👑 And you’re growing into someone who can hold both stability and wisdom at the same time
If you’ve been feeling tired, guarded, or unsure lately, this spread gently reminds you that you’re not at the end of the road…you’re standing right at the edge of the next chapter. And the strength you’ve built along the way is exactly what will allow that next seed to grow.
A seed of perseverance…
Sometimes the most powerful magic in the kitchen isn’t a complicated recipe…it’s a reminder that growth always starts small.
The Ace of Pentacles in this week’s tarot pull carries the energy of a seed being placed into fertile soil. A new opportunity. A fresh start. The beginning of something tangible.
And seeds are one of the oldest forms of kitchen magic there is.
The next time you cook with something that contains seeds…sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, chia seeds, beans, lentils, the seeds inside a tomato, the pit of a fruit, any seed at all…pause for a moment before you begin.
Hold one seed in your fingers.
Take a slow breath and say: “Small things grow strong with patience.”
Seeds carry the magic of perseverance. They sit in darkness, pushed down into the soil, waiting for the exact right conditions to break open and become something entirely new.
Your life works the same way.
Tiny choices.
Quiet effort.
Consistent care.
That’s how growth happens.
The next time you’re in your kitchen…remember that the smallest ingredients often carry the greatest magic! 🌱🪄✨🌻
If you take nothing else from this week’s love note from me to you, let it be this.
Small steps matter.
One honest conversation.
One moment of rest.
One seed planted.
One tiny act of care toward your own Soul.
Those quiet choices add up over time, often in ways we don’t see until much later.
Keep tending to what’s real, what’s raw, what’s healing, and what helps you persevere.
That’s how the Soul stays whole. ✨
It’s good you’re here!
Sending you magic~
